I was born and raised in beautiful, sunny San Diego, CA. I'm a teacher, a photographer, and a lifelong wanderer.
I have always loved the concept of wandering when you travel, looking for unexpected things in unexpected places. My uncle installed this method of travel into my mind and I have strived to live by it.

-Don't go anywhere twice-
-Look beyond the landmarks-
-Take the time to discover a culture and not a destination-

I received my first camera the first time I went abroad when I was eleven years old. Since then my passions for travel and photography have grown immensely, and I am excited to share all my adventures with you!

A little FYI, I am by no means an expert on anything, anything at all. However, I love to write and I love to share, so read at your own risk.  I also have a huge secret to share with you. Travel isn't always glamorous. I know, it's big shock, but sometimes you are sleeping in airports in Tokyo, or having to air dry yourself with a fan after a shower in a Riad in Marrakesh, and it isn't always pretty. In photos, my hair will hardly ever be done, and don't be surprised if you see a stain on my clothes somewhere, but to me, thats what travel is all about. Embrace every aspect of the adventure!

Since my first trip abroad in 2006, I have travelled 200,000 miles to 37 countries on four continents. I have been in 190 cities and 51 airports.
Favorite Destinations: Israel, Morocco, South Korea, and Iceland
Places I want to go: Jordan, Brazil, South Africa, and Cuba
